Man dies after fight with brother

A York City man died Monday evening after an argument with his brother, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office was dispatched to the 200 block of East Philadelphia Street, where Yusufu Kargbo, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:21 p.m. with “obvious life-threatening injuries,” according to the coroner.

“He allegedly had an altercation with another man who was determined to be a brother of the deceased,” the coroner said.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, with the results pending further inquest and a review of medical records, according to the coroner.

25th Annual Turkey Trot

The York Branch YMCA will be holding its 25th Annual Turkey Trot 5K on Thursday.

The 5K course in downtown York will be available both in person and virtually and will support the Livestrong at the YMCA program for cancer survivors, with the benefits helping those living with, through or beyond cancer to recover. strengths and connect with other cancer survivors.

The in-person race starts at 9 a.m. Thursday and the virtual race is available until 11 p.m. Sunday. Registration is $ 25.

Mason-Dixon Public Library

Sale of used books

The Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive in Stewartstown, will be holding a used book sale on December 2-3.

The sale will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 2 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 3.

Books for children and adults will be for sale, and any proceeds from sales will be used to purchase new books and materials for the library.

Wearing a mask is compulsory inside the library.
