Airport police booked the sales manager of a car showroom in Viman nagar for cheating the company of ₹42.15 lakh. The incident happened between February 8 of this year and until today.
Anil Babulal Giri (49) of Kothari Wheels has filed a First Information Report (FIR) in this regard.
According to the FIR, the accused identified as Vaibhav Bharat Desai who works with the sales department siphoned off more than ₹42.15 lakh in a private bank account in his name and cheated the management of Viman nagar showroom.
The police booked Desai under sections 420, 406, 468, 469 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). No arrests have been made so far.

Man detained for assaulting two underage girls in Pune
Sahakarnagar Police booked a 31-year-old man for allegedly inappropriately touching two underage girls on May 19. The victims’ mother had filed a complaint against the defendant for assaulting her two daughters, aged seventeen and nine, on the footpath outside a housing corporation in Sahakarnagar. “The victims were walking on the sidewalk when the accused committed the act. The accused is a resident of the same area,” police deputy inspector Mohsin Pathan said.

This brought the progressive tally to 1.45 million of which 1.43 million have recovered, 20,544 deaths and 287 are active cases. The city of Pune reported 28 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the progressive number to 681,024 and the death toll to 9,713.
