Naperville AAUW Used Book and Media Sale Returns August 4-6

The Naperville branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its Used Book and Media Sale Aug. 4-6 at Washington Jr. High School, 201 N. Washington St. in Naperville.

They will have 40,000 books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records, all donated locally; the majority are priced at $1 to $2. Select treasure chest items are priced at $5 and up.

Want to have the first choice? Register for the “First Look” event on Thursday, August 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. $15 advance tickets available now at Sales end August 3.

The sale continues with free admission from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 4; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 5; and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.

Saturday will be Bag Day with all items $10 per bag or 50% off.

New this year is Educator Night from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 5. Educators with ID will receive 50% off all purchases. This is a tribute to educators who have worked hard to find creative ways to help students thrive under COVID and are now facing misinformation campaigns.

All proceeds advance gender equity for women through research, education and advocacy.
