Matt Cammarota New Head of Personal Loans at Liberty Bank in Middletown

DOWNTOWN – Liberty Bank of Middletown has hired Matthew Cammarota as Senior Vice President and Head of Personal Loans.

Cammarota, a 25-year leader in community banking, brings a “wealth” of experience in consumer and mortgage lending, loan execution and operations, workflow processing, customer experience and compliance, according to a press release.

Her appointment follows another key hire Liberty Bank made in recent months, when it announced that Jeremy Miller had joined the bank as senior executive vice president and chief loan officer.

Cammarota joins the bank after more than 13 years at Webster Bank, where he held several key positions, according to the press release. Most recently, he was Director of Consumer and Corporate Credit, responsible for leading the strategic and tactical management of the Webster Credit Center, which oversaw all loan origination, including mortgage products, consumer, value. residential and for small businesses.

He has also served as director of community banking, director of loan application execution and led the strategic and tactical management of Webster’s consumer lending business line, the bank said.

Cammarota is based at the company’s head office at 245 Long Hill Road in Middletown.
