Signs that the beaches are getting busier are just a sign that it’s time for another giant book sale at the Fort Myers Beach Library.
This Saturday and Sunday will be the first major book sale at the library since spring. The sale of books takes place in the car park and will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Past book sales have produced over 2,000 books. Most books are used, although previous editions contain unread books as well. New items from the bookstore are also available.
The books were either donated or removed from the library shelves for circulation.
A large grocery bag of books will cost $ 15.
In addition, there will be CDs, DVDs, puzzles.
All profits are donated to the library.
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation will have a table, said Kelly Smith. The foundation will sell #WeAreFMB shirts, including new V-neck shirts and beach towels. There will be hats, bandanas, mugs and cookbooks for sale to benefit the foundation’s activities.
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation provides assistance to Fort Myers Beach nonprofits and has been at the heart of the #WeAreFMB effort to help hospitality workers affected by the pandemic. The foundation recently distributed Publix gift cards to local hotel workers.
