Sale of books from the library

After having their book sales last year and the spring sale canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Friends of the Central Library will have their fall book sale from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. November 12; 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on November 13; and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. November 14. The sale will take place in the basement and in the covered parking lot on the Spring Street side of the library. The library is located at 660 W. Fifth St., Winston-Salem.

There will be tens of thousands of books, CDs, records, DVDs and other interesting items available. Donations came from individuals and from public and university library collections.

Forsyth County COVID restrictions will be strictly enforced. Masks are mandatory at all times, including in the garage. Social distancing is required in all spaces. There will be a limit of 10 customers at a time in the indoor sales area.

Proceeds will go to the Central Library and its programs, including the children’s summer reading program.
